Happiness Mindset
“The U.S. Constitution doesn’t guarantee happiness, only the pursuit of it. You have to catch up with it yourself.”
–Benjamin Franklin.
How come some people seem to be so happy whilst others do not. Often times those that are the happiest are also the poorest or the ones who seem to have the least to be happy about.
It because happiness flows from within not from external factors. There are many stories of rich people who have everything and yet they are very unhappy. On the other hand some of the poorest people on the planet seem to exhibit a spontaneous happiness that is not only engaging but sometimes also bewildering.
What’s their secret?
We live in a world were we are constantly bombarded to want more, to strive for more and to achieve more.
We are rarely encouraged to just be content and happy.
And that’s the secret. Contentment.
It doesn’t matter if you are rich or poor, wise or stupid, unknown or famous, what truly counts is how content you are with your lot.
Contentment allows us to relax from the stresses of achieving our desires. from constantly striving for more.
Being content we can simply STOP. Stop for a while to enjoy and relish all our many achievements and bathe in the glow of satisfaction.
Before new desires and goals arise and off we go again.
The trick is to take the time out.
The time out to take stock of where we have come from and hopefully where we are going, but most importantly where we are – right now!
We CAN decide to be happy.
By redirecting our mind toward positive, constructive thoughts and expressing gratitude for all the gifts we have been blessed with.
Happiness is your birthright. It is available to everyone. All you need do is reach out and hold it to you.
Reach out and grab your happiness. Your life will never be the same again.
